Most of you know us just as melyvl's prehistoric creature and probe #235:  the two librarians who settle their differences atop the NYC skyline. The one freakin' week that the tryants at refind (who milk our antics 24/7 X 365 as tourist attraction) we get off, SHIT! Like everybody else: turn on the tube, caught off guard with mass destruction. The deep pit of helplessness to do anything about the unfolding slaughter. M. and i just put aside our differences ---it all seems so petty now --- and went to volunteer. It's the only way to pay tribute to the memory of those firefighters & policemen whose heroism saved the lives of thousands more.

Sadly, we will never understand why what happened did happen except that we must all dig deeper within to furthur practice random acts of kindness. The obligation is upon us all if we ever expect a sense of normallacy. The only thing you can count on is the kindness of strangers. So, the more that people experience kindness; the more likely they are to extend an open hand to strangers.
